This is when organisations present a facade of being deeply environmental and ethically conscious, but there is a danger that they are a wolf in sheep’s clothing
Some companies score very highly because they are good corporate citizens and they have strong governance. That is how they get into ethical investment funds, and yet there are other areas – such as their main business operation – that rates poorly on the environmental score.
For example, BHP has high rankings because it is a good corporate citizen and has excellent governance, but some ethical investors do not approve of their mining practices.
As always, it is a personal decision – your decision.
